Afraid Monkeys Level 2 Walkthrough
Level 2 opens the parking garage and irradiated debris zones that define mid-game Afraid Monkeys. Here you hunt the storage keycard, dodge the tall Slender ape, and set up the Level 3 progression chain that hardcore players chase for badges and full facility clears.
Entering Level 2
You need the Level 2 keycard from Level 1 to scan the door reader. Once inside, the environment shifts to a blue-lit parking structure connected by rope drops and side corridors. Immediately note the rope climb points 鈥?they are escape options when Slender patrols the open garage floor.
Level 2 splits into the parking garage proper and an irradiated debris field rich in scrap. Farm the debris field first if Slender is patrolling the garage ceiling line 鈥?tall enemies struggle with doorway transitions, giving you micro-safe zones.
Storage Keycard Location
The storage keycard rests on the floor against two pipes at the far end of the blue-lit parking area, opposite the main entrance corridor. Approach from side passages rather than crossing the open floor where Slender has line of sight across the entire space.
After grabbing the storage keycard, backtrack to Level 1 and take the opposite path from the first recycler to reach the storage door. Scan the card to enter the storage wing where the Level 3 keycard eventually spawns. Full sequencing is detailed in our keycard progression guide.
Slender Ape Tactics
Slender is an extremely tall infected ape haunting the parking garage. Its stride covers ground quickly in open areas, but it cannot fit through standard doorframes. Use doorways as hard breaks 鈥?peek, bait, sprint through while it pathfinds around obstacles.
Never camp in the open garage center. The Radar shows Slender through walls, making it worth the fifty-credit investment before repeated Level 2 runs. Audio cues include heavy footfalls and distorted breathing when it is within two corridor lengths.
Level 2 Scrap Routes
The irradiated debris pile on Level 2 spawns dense scrap clusters 鈥?ideal for gear farming sessions. Run debris 鈫?recycler on Level 1 鈫?shop in lobby 鈫?repeat. Pair this with our scrap calculator to plan purchases.
Watch for secondary infected types guarding debris choke points. Molotovs create fire lanes that buy seconds to grab gears and retreat.
Advanced Level 2 Goals
Experienced players use Level 2 as a hub between storage unlocks and badge attempts like ESCAPED THE MAZE. Coordinate with squadmates 鈥?one player draws Slender while another grabs the storage keycard.
